Things have gone from bad to worse for the Montezuma-Cortez High School girls’ soccer team, which lost 8-0 to Steamboat Springs in Delta on March 28.
The loss marked the Lady Panthers fifth in their last six games and dropped the team’s record to 2-5-0 on the season.
Steamboat Springs junior Jordan Floyd led Steamboat Springs with three goals and junior Natalie Bohlmann scored two more.
As has been the case after previous M-CHS losses, head coach Sean Fitzgerald could not be reached for comment.
M-CHS’s next game will be at home on April 3 when the Lady Panthers take on Montrose at 5 p.m.
