An archaeologist at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center will be featured in an upcoming National Geographic documentary series, according to Crow Canyon’s website.

Kyle Bocinsky, who is Crow Canyon’s director of sponsored projects, participated in filming for an episode of “Origins,” a series based on the origins of humans. The eight-episode series will air on the National Geographic Channel sometime next year.

Bocinsky discussed the Long House ruins at Mesa Verde National Park as an example of how Native Americans were resourceful in building structures centuries ago.

Mesa Verde interpretive ranger David Night Eagle also will be featured in the episode, discussing how farmers constructed dwellings and grew crops 800 years ago in the park area, according to Crow Canyon.
