The Spruce Tree Coffeehouse in Cortez is showing the work of local photographers Mike Znerold and Barbara Grist until July 15.

Znerold photographs highlight his work of detail shots of succulents and plant life that he manipulated to create images of color and light. Also hanging are images of architecture he captured while walking around the financial district in San Francisco that he presents in color and black and white on canvas.

Grist’s images of reflected light on the waters on the beach in Todos Santos, Mexico and Lake Powell in Utah are infused onto aluminum with a dye sublimation process that makes them archival and the light glisten. Colors of blues and golds welcome you into the coffeehouse as a large, colorfully painted elephant from India greets you as you move through the space.

Other images from an Indian festival and of every day life in India keep also are exhibited.
