The Cortez Knights of Columbus Council 4209 has announced that the Knights Memorial Scholarship for this year has been awarded to Kayla Marie Garchar.
Garcher is a 2015 graduate of Dolores High School and plans to study theology at the University of Portland in Oregon.
The $1,000 check is intended for Garcher’s tuition and fees, books and supplies, meals and any other legitimate school-related expenses.
