12:15 p.m. A woman reported that someone had used her debit card for three purchases at a Sam’s Cub in Oklahoma. The fraudulent charges totaled $158.21.
Tuesday, June 9
10:30 a.m. A woman reported that an RV trailer has trespassed onto her property and the occupants refused to leave. The case remains under investigation.
Thursday, June 11
8:53 p.m. A deputy found a vehicle in a ditch along the 9000 block of County Road 29. The vehicle’s owner couldn’t be determined.
Friday, June 12
9:01 a.m. A woman reported that her purse, three smartphones and jewelry worth a total of $1,125 were stolen from inside her vehicle while parked at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds. She said her stolen debit card was also used at five locations for a total of $133.03. The case remains under investigation.
2:33 p.m. The owner of a closed gas station on the 37000 block of U.S. 160 reported a broken window and $125 of damage.
Saturday, June 13
5:17 p.m. A Utah man was arrested for DUI near the 7000 block of U.S. 160 after authorities noticed his brake lights didn’t work.
2:34 a.m. Deputies responded to Mancos for a report of a protection order violation. A male subject was arrested in connection to the incident three hours later.
Thursday, June 18
3:00 p.m. Dolores officials reported a dog owner on South 8th Street failed to register. A summons is pending.
5:16 p.m. A man reported a stolen license plate from a boat trailer parked at the McPhee. A boat inspector said many license plates are lost in the lake when boats are loaded and unloaded.
Friday, June 19
10:13 a.m. A woman was stopped on the 7000 block of U.S. 160 for driving with a cracked windshield. She was arrested for driving with a revoked license.
6:30 p.m. A man was arrested after refusing to consent to DUI testing after a stop for speeding on the 30000 block of Colo. 184.
Saturday, June 20
9:30 a.m. A woman reported the theft of two mail packages from a residential mailbox on the 24000 block of County Road M. The woman said she watched a white male subject driving a black Ford automobile take both packages.
Sunday, June 21
8 a.m. A male subject turned in a City of Cortez laptop found at the intersection of Empire Street and U.S. 491. Authorities said the city hadn’t reported a missing laptop.
Monday. June 22, 2015
11:03 p.m. A deputy initiated a traffic stop on the 1000 block of U.S. 160 due to an inoperable license plate lamp. The driver was ticketed for displaying expired license plates, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license. A female passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
