Along with the Majors, the Southwest Colorado Youth Baseball 9- and 10-year-old Minors are prepping for a state tournament run. While the Majors will set out for Durango, the Minors are bound for Grand Junction.

The Minors represent District 4 and include players from Towaoc, Lewis, Cortez, Dolores and Mancos. After overcoming Durango and Bayfield to claim the District 4 title last week, the Minors will play the District 1 winner, either North Boulder or Monarch 1, in their opening game of the state tournament.

The game is set for Friday, July 17 at 8 p.m. in Grand Junction.
