12:44 a.m. Police responded to the hospital after a dog bit a man in the face near City Market. While at the scene, police noted suspicous activity in the parking lot, which subsequently resulted in police chase on the 900 block of Livesay. A man wanted on an outstanding warrant was apprehended in the backyard of a sheriff’s deputy home. The man reportedly headed-butted a windshield while in handcuffs, causing some $300 in damages.
Thursday, June 18
8:57 a.m. A woman reported several items stolen from her vehicle, including a military uniform and laptop computer, while parked at Wal-Mart. Total losses were estimated at $3,000.
Friday, June 19
10:01 a.m. A man was arrested in Centennial Park for violating a restraining order.
4:55 p.m. A woman on the 900 block of Garrison Drive reported that her son assaulted her after he reportedly ate some bad potato salad. The man was arrested for assaulting an at-risk person.
11:12 p.m. An unlocked bicycle was reported stolen from a front porch at Long’s Trailer Park.
Saturday, June 20
8:08 a.m. A light pole was reported damaged at the new Montezuma-Cortez High School.
11:34 a.m. Police responded to Mesa Verde Inn to evict two intoxicated subjects. A woman was arrested for trespassing.
5:50 p.m. Police responded to City Market for shoplifting. A male subject was later arrested. Total losses were $23.47.
6:05 p.m. A citizen called to report two people wanted on outstanding warrants were inside her home on the 600 block of South Washington Street. Police responded and arrested both subjects.
7:46 p.m. Police interrupted a physical altercation involving three males at City Park. One man was arrested for disturbing the peace.
Sunday, June 21
12:35 a.m. An Arizona man was arrested for DUI after driving with no headlights on the 600 block of East Main Street.
1:31 a.m. An underage man was arrested for DUI after a citizen reported the drunken driver.
9:47 a.m. An official with the Methodist Church reported a broken window. Total damages were estimated at $200.
1:15 p.m. Police spotted a woman walking into City Park with a plastic bag. The woman was ticketed for possessing an unopened bottle of alcohol.
12:06 p.m. A clerk at Days Inn reported a stolen television.
4:33 p.m. An intoxicated woman was arrested outside of Safeway for violating a no alcohol court order.
6:29 p.m. A man was arrested for violating a restraining order, burglary, drug possession and domestic violence on the 1200 block of Cochita Street. The man told police that he visited the residence to see his daughter on Father’s Day.
11:16 p.m. A woman was arrested in City Park for possession of alcohol.
Monday, June 22
10:47 a.m. A housekeeper at Days Inn reported her purse was stolen and $560 was missing. The housekeeper was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
4:38 p.m. A woman reported that her license plate had been switched.
5:12 p.m. A man was arrested at City Park for violating a no alcohol court order.
7:36 p.m. A man pulled a gun at the Pizza Hut parking lot before driving away.
Wednesday, June 24
1:56 p.m. Police responded to Big R after a woman allegedly stole a pair of rawhide gloves valued at $19.95. The merchandise was recovered following a traffic stop, and the woman was arrested. A male subject was ordered not to trespass at the location.
7:26 p.m. Police responded to the 7th Street Mobile Home Park in reference to a disturbance involving a weapon. One man was hit in the head with a chisel. Another man was cut on his finger. No charges were filed.
Thursday, June 25
2:08 a.m. A woman was arrested for DUI after traveling without any taillights on the 100 block of West Main Street.
5 p.m. Police responded to City Market for a juvenile shoplifter. The teen was ticketed for allegedly stealing eyeliner. Another man was arrested while officers were at the scene on an outstanding warrant.
10:11 p.m. Police responded to the 1300 block of Mesa Verde Street after shots were fired. A resident said he fired his 12-guage shotgun after neighbors trespassed onto his property. The alleged trespassers, a brother and sister, said the man’s female roommate previously assaulted them. The roommate, with a black eye and bruising, said she was head-butted and choked after stealing the male trespasser’s boyfriend. The male trespasser was arrested and charged with assault, trespassing, prohibited use of a weapon, harassment and domestic violence.
Friday, June 26
8 a.m. A man reported that four boat batteries were stolen from his driveway on the 1400 block of Mesa Verde Street. The missing property was valued at $380.
3:04 p.m. A man was arrested for violating a protection order on the 1200 block of Cochita Street.
5:53 p.m. A woman reported that a dog on South Chestnut Street bit her.
5:57 p.m. Police responded to City Park after a resident complained of public sex. Two women were arrested for alcohol possession. A male subject was ticketed for the same offense. About a half-hour later, the same man was arrested for stealing a bottle of mouthwash at City Market.
8:16 p.m. A woman was arrested near Valley Sun Village for violating a no alcohol court order.
11:03 p.m. A male subject was arrested on Main Street after violating a no alcohol court order.
