Friday, July 10

2:21 a.m. Deputies initiated a traffic stop on the 1000 block of U.S. 160 for weaving. The driver was issued a warning. One female passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and another female passenger was ticketed for drug paraphernalia.

2:11 p.m. A mechanic reported a woman wrote a bad check for services rendered. Losses totaled $1,078.22.

Saturday, July 11

7:25 a.m. A Dolores woman reported that a cell phone adaptor was stolen from her unlocked vehicle.

5:48 p.m. A pine tree fell in Dolores, damaging a fence and an automobile.

Sunday, July 12

8:20 a.m. A Dolores hotel reported a number of electric luminaries were vanadlized. Total damages were estimated at more than $800.

9:27 a.m. The sheriff’s office substation in Dolores was vandalized with green spray paint. The graffiti included the words, “420 Bitches,” a smiling face and the words, “angry at you.”

Monday, July 13

11:10 p.m. A Colorado man was ticketed for speeding, 86 mph in a 60 zone, on the 18000 block of Hwy. 145.

Tuesday, July 14

8:04 a.m. A man on the 25000 block of County Road F.6 reported his vehicle had been vandalized. An ex-lover reportedly broke the windows out of the automobile with a scissor jack. The woman was arrested leaving the scene and charged with criminal mischief, harassment and domestic violence.

Wednesday, July 15

12:38 p.m. A Colorado woman was ticketed for operating an unregistered vehicle without insurance on the 33000 block of U.S. 160.

1:40 p.m. A Dolores woman reported a stolen bicycle. The bike was valued at $164.

11:25 p.m. A deputy stopped to assist security personnel at the Ute Mountain Ute Casino as two women were being escorted from the premises for theft. The unknown stolen item was recovered. One woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants.
