Wednesday, July 1

12 p.m. A woman reported that her husband violated a restraining order by sending her harassing emails.

Monday, July 6

1:15 p.m. A Texas man was stopped on the 15000 block of U.S. 491 for an alleged gas skip in Dove Creek. The vehicle was impounded after a K-9 unit alerted on the front driver’s side of the vehicle. The three occupants were given courtesy rides to Cortez. Three days later, no evidence was found, and the case was closed.

5 p.m. A man reported that his ex-girlfriend fraudulently used his credit card to make multiple purchases. Losses totaled $715.40.

Tuesday, July 7

11:25 a.m. A deputy applied for an arrest warrant after determining a man violated a restraining order.

Wednesday, July 8

8 a.m. A woman sped passed a deputy on the 800 block of North Broadway while applying mascara. The woman nearly collided into the back of a trailer and avoided sideswiping a parked vehicle before stopping at Montezuma Avenue and Chestnut Street. The woman was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and lack of insurance.

Friday, July 10

10:30 p.m. A man on the 18000 block of County Road 21 reported that five Manalitsa pigs valued at $2,000 each were missing. A neighbor had tried to push the herd of pigs off of his adjoining property.

Thursday, July 16

6:32 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 17000 block of County Road 27 in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, a foot chase ensued. A male subject successfully eluded authorities after running barefoot into a canyon.

10:38 p.m. Deputies responded to the scene of a rolled over vehicle on the 28000 block of County Road K.2. Authorities then responded to a woman suffering from alcohol poisoning at the Lakeside Trailer Park, where they found a broken window, busted screen door and smeared blood. Authorities then responded to the emergency room to find an intoxicated man with a bloody hand and an intoxicated woman complaining of leg and back pain. The woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant for DUI. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstruction and trespass.

Friday, July 17

11:15 a.m. A Dolores woman reported an American flag was stolen from her porch.

Saturday, July 18

10:26 a.m. A broken window and mirror was reported at a business on the 300 block of Central Avenue in Dolores. Fingerprints were lifted from an empty whiskey bottle at the scene.

11:57 a.m. A woman found a purse and bag on her porch in Mancos. The items were stolen the night before in Durango. The property was returned to a Texas woman.

2:16 p.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop on the 27000 block of County Road G.

Sunday, July 19

9:41 p.m. A resident on the 17000 block of County Road J reported animal mutilation after discovering a rabbit’s foot had been removed by a knife.

Monday, July 20

1:36 a.m. A Colorado man was stopped for driving with a defective license plate lamp on the 7000 block of U.S. 160. The driver was ticketed for driving with a suspended license.

Tuesday, July 21

4:59 p.m. A woman on the 11000 block of County Road 25 reportedly fired multiple shots at two dogs that were eating her chickens. Four dead chickens were discovered. Total loses were $100. One dog was killed.

Wednesday, July 22, 2015

1:15 a.m. While on patrol inside the Ute Mountain Ute Casino, a man was found to be in possession of a pocketknife. The man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

2:51 a.m. A deputy stopped a man and woman walking on the 6000 block of U.S. 160. The man was arrested on two outstanding warrants.
