Track operator Mark Baxter expects a large turnout on Saturday at Cortez BMX track for the state race double.
As part of the state series, the race can be used as a qualifying race for riders planning to ride in the state championship in Grand Junction in September. The race is also worth double the amount of district points than a local single race.
There will be classes for all ages and any interested riders can enter.
Registration is Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the cost is $20.
Races will begin following registration, about 1:15 p.m.
