4:22 p.m. A man on the 17000 block of County Road 27 reported a trespasser inside a RV. The man reported a missing tablet valued at $300, iPod valued at $100 and wallet containing $380. A suspect was named. The missing items were recovered, and no charges were filed.
Friday, Aug. 21
7:47 p.m. Deputies responded to the 200 block of South 8th Street in Dolores for a theft. A man reported a missing self-propelled lawn mower. Citing the missing property was part of a marital dispute, no charges were filed.
Saturday, Aug. 22
9:30 a.m. A property owner on the 31000 block of County Road S reported damaged mailboxes. A total of four mailboxes valued between $100 and $150 each were damaged.
11:19 a.m. Deputies responded to Vista Verde Village for a vandalism. A man reported that a passenger window to his vehicle had been broken.
4:55 p.m. A woman reported that an inmate at the Montezuma County jail had violated a protection order. The woman reported receiving multiple phone calls. The inmate was summoned.
Sunday, Aug. 23
9:30 a.m. Deputies responded to the 700 block of Hillside Avenue in Dolores for a dog complaint. The dog reportedly continues to jump a fence and defecate inside a neighbor’s home. The dog’s owner was ticketed for dog running at large.
11:47 a.m. A man reported that two dogs on the 12000 block of County Road 22 act aggressively and chase him repeatedly. Neighbors confirmed the sheep dogs only chase cars when sheep are near the fence line.
Monday, Aug. 24
2:25 p.m. A motorist was stopped on the 6000 block of U.S. 160 for driving on the shoulder of the road. A woman was ticketed for failing to drive in a designated lane and lack of insurance.
2:30 p.m. A woman reported an unauthorized purchase was made at Amazon Prime on her husband’s debit card.
4:25 p.m. A motorist was stopped on the 25000 block of County Road G for speeding, 60 in a 50 m.p.h. zone. A man was ticketed for no proof of insurance, speeding and expired permit.
5:24 p.m. Deputies responded to the 27000 block of U.S. 160 for a possible warrant that appeared during an Instacheck background. A man was arrested and charged with careless driving, failing to report an accident and lack of insurance.
6:04 p.m. A motorist was stopped for speeding, 51 in a 40 m.p.h. zone, on the 20000 block of County Road G. A man was ticketed for speeding and lack of insurance.
Tuesday, Aug. 25
5:30 p.m. A motorist was stopped on Raindrop Road for speeding, 83 in a 65 m.p.h. zone, near mile marker 21 on U.S. 160. The driver was released to BIA officials on an outstanding warrant from Ute Mountain Ute authorities.
Wednesday, Aug. 26
8:57 a.m. A motorist was stopped on the 300 block of West Main Street for an obstructed license plate. A female passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
