Wednesday, Aug. 19

12:36 p.m. Police responded to City Market for shoplifting. A woman reportedly placed some grapes and hamburger meat valued at $18 inside a backpack, and instructed her 7-year-old daughter to take the merchandise to a vehicle. The child was released to a friend, and the woman was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and theft.

4:54 p.m. Police responded to City Market for shoplifting. Two juveniles reported stole two cans of chips valued at $3.50. They were ticketed and released to their parents.

9:01 p.m. Police responded to the intersection of Beech Street and Main Street for an intoxicated man. He was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace.

9:35 p.m. Police responded to Safeway for shoplifting. A woman was arrested and charged with drug possession of possession of paraphernalia after a syringe filled with methamphetamines was found in her purse.

Thursday, Aug. 20

10:06 a.m. Police responded to Wal-Mart for shoplifting. A man reportedly attempted to steal some fabric and toys. He was ticketed for shoplifting.

Friday, Aug. 21

9:27 a.m. Police observed a man walk into traffic on the 600 block of East Main Street. He was arrested and charged with intoxicated pedestrian in a roadway and trespass.

2:45 p.m. Police responded to City Market for a man sleeping in the entrance. He was ordered to leave, and then arrested after walking into traffic.

10:44 p.m. Police responded to City Park for yelling. Two men were ticketed for open container and possession of alcohol in the park.

11:48 p.m. Police observed a vehicle with a defective tail light in the alley near South Linden Street. A woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Saturday, Aug. 22

1:35 a.m. Police observed a vehicle weaving on South Chestnut Street. A man was arrested and charged with DUI, driving without a license, weaving and failure to yield right of way.

12:23 p.m. Police responded to the 600 block of South Ash Street for a disturbance. A woman was reportedly hit in the arm and choked. A man was arrested and charged with harassment and domestic violence.

5:18 p.m. Police responded to Parque de Vida for an intoxicated man. The man was ticketed for possession of alcohol.

10:21 p.m. Police responded to Wal-Mart after a man refused to leave. A man was arrested and charged with trespass.

11:12 p.m. Police responded to the 500 block of South Madison Street for a burglary. A woman reported that a backpack, wallet, phone and iPod were stolen after leaving her front door open. Total loses were estimated at $254.

Sunday, Aug. 23

3:51 p.m. A man reported that a rototiller was stolen from the 200 block of South Valley Road.

4:53 p.m. A man reported that a bicycle was stolen from his yard on the 400 block of South Elm Street.

6:54 p.m. Police responded to City Market for an auto burglary. A man was arrested and charged with trespassing.

Monday, Aug. 24

3:20 p.m. Police responded to Denny Lake Park on a reported drunk driver. A man was arrested and charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license and failure to yield right of way. Both a male and female passenger were arrested on outstanding warrants.

11:11 p.m. Police responded to City Market after a disabled couple was harassed. A man was ordered to leave. He refused. The man was arrested and charged with harassment and crimes against at-risk adults.

Wednesday, Aug. 26

4:06 p.m. Police responded to 1600 block of Rivera Street after a probation officer reported an intoxicated client. A woman was arrested for violating a no alcohol order.

8:44 p.m. Police responded to the 200 block of South Harrison Street for vandalism. A television valued at $600, a window valued at $300 and a tablet valued at $480 were damaged.

9:15 p.m. Police responded to Maverick after an employee reported an unsafe driver. A woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
