Sunday, July 3

9:22 p.m. Deputies responded to the 45000 block of U.S. 160 for a reckless driver. A man was arrested on unknown charges.

Monday, Aug. 24

2:35 p.m. A manager at Second Chance Thrift Store in Dolores complained about a customer writing a bad check that totaled $5.92. No charges were filed at the manager’s request.

Thursday, Aug. 27

9:14 a.m. Deputies responded to the 700 block of Railroad Avenue in Dolores for a traffic accident. No damages were reported.

Friday, Aug. 28

7 a.m. Arrested in July, a man reportedly gave his truck to a woman for safe keeping. The truck owner now claims that a stereo, amplifier, radar detector, weed eater, power inverter and outlet, three watches, respirator, straps and tool kit are now missing from the vehicle. Losses totaled $1,256. The weed eater was later recovered. The woman was ticketed for theft.

11:02 a.m. A man was arrested at his residence on an outstanding warrant for a traffic violation.

9:45 p.m. Deputies responded to the 28000 block of U.S. 160 for a disturbance in progress. A woman reported that a man jumped onto the hood of a vehicle and kicked in the windshield. The man reported that he was punched in the face, so he “super manned” onto the hood, busting the windshield with his chest after being stood up on a date. The man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and domestic violence. The woman was arrested and charged with assault and domestic violence.

Saturday, Aug. 29

8:20 p.m. A woman complained about off highway vehicles on the 16000 block of County Road 28.2.

Sunday, Aug. 30

7:38 a.m. A motorist was stopped on the 3000 block of U.S. 160 for driving with an expired license plate. A woman was ticketed for lack of insurance and displaying an expired tag.

1:45 p.m. A motorist was stopped on the 300 block of Central Avenue in Dolores for a cracked windshield. A man was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and lack of insurance.

Monday, Aug. 31

8:56 a.m. A woman reported an Internet scam involving the online purchase of a Yorkshire terrier for $1,800. Upon delivery, the dog was found to have a genetic defect called Parrot Mouth.

9:55 a.m. A woman reported a horse was in the roadway on the 18000 block of County Road AA. The owner refused to remove the horse. Charges of obstructing a highway and cruelty to animals are under investigation.

5:39 p.m. A man reported that his vehicle was vandalized on the 18000 block of Hwy. 145.

11:18 p.m. A man reported that an intoxicated subject was knocking on his door on the 27000 block of County Road N. The suspect was treated for a head injury, then arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

7:51 p.m. Deputies responded to the 24000 block of County Road L for a vehicle theft in progress. A pursuit along U.S. 491 ensued before ending once the vehicle entered city limits. No charges were filed. The vehicle was returned the following day.
