Sunday, Aug. 23

1:19 a.m. A motorist was observed weaving on County Road 25. A pursuit ended on the 25000 block of County Road F.6. After the driver refused a request from deputies to search the vehicle, a K-9 unit alerted on the vehicle. The driver was arrested and charged with eluding. At the jail, authorities found a scale, pipes, prescription pills and 16 grams of meth inside the woman’s purse. Drug possession and distribution charges were also filed.

Thursday, Sept. 3

1:09 p.m. Deputies responded to the 22000 block of County Road G for an intoxicated pedestrian. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Friday, Sept. 4

2:20 p.m. A man reported that he lost his wallet along the 14000 block of County Road 40.2. The wallet and its contents were valued at $100.

Saturday, Sept. 5

8:20 a.m. Deputies responded to the 31000 block of County Road L for a criminal mischief call. A woman reported a pad lock was cut from a shed. No items were reported missing.

9:20 a.m. A deputy observed a motorist driving with an expired license plate. A woman was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and an expired tag.

5:40 p.m. Deputies responded to the Riverfront Bar & Grill for a fight. A customer was reportedly forced to leave after bringing a bottle of alcohol inside. The customer returned wearing different clothes, and again was forced to leave for having an outside bottle of alcohol. After punching the bouncer, the customer was taken to the ground. After stating that he knew karate and could rip everyone’s throats out, the customer was arrested and charged with assault.

Sunday, Sept. 6

8:15 p.m. Deputies responded to Lakeside Trailer Park for a possible altercation. A woman reported that she screamed at a motorist to slow down. After the vehicle stopped, the woman approached and continued yelling at the driver. A passenger reportedly grabbed the woman and punched her in the face. The alleged victim was arrested on two outstanding warrants.

10:09 p.m. Deputies responded to Woody’s Gas Station for shoplifting. Three 18-packs and two 6-packs of beer were reported stolen. Two male suspects fled the scene toward Towaoc.

Monday, Sept. 7

6:03 p.m. Deputies responded to the 5000 block of County Road 21 for a possible disturbance. A man reported that he was struck in the leg in a hit-and-run incident following an ongoing water dispute. Denying the allegation, the driver claimed the pedestrian jumped in front of his moving vehicle. The driver was later ticketed for careless driving.

Tuesday, Sept. 8

5:10 p.m. Deputies responded to a residence on the 14000 block of County Road 20 for shots fired. During a verbal confrontation over a barking dog, a man reported that his neighbor threatened to kill him before discharging a shotgun into the air. The man was arrested and charged with menacing.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

9:37 a.m. Deputies responded to the Rio Grand Southern Bed & Breakfast for a medical call. A cancer patient was later arrested for violating a protection order.

11:23 p.m. On patrol along the 4000 block of U.S. 160, deputies observed a motorist pull out in front of another vehicle. Following a traffic stop, the driver was issued a verbal warning for driving with an expired license plate and no proof of insurance. A female passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Thursday, Sept. 10

9:03 p.m. A man reported that a motorcycle was stolen from his residence on the 21000 block of County Road S. The value was estimated at $2,000.
