1:37 p.m. A man reported that an ex-girlfriend violated a restraining order. An investigation revealed the woman was waiting for the man to drop their child off at the Pinon Project. No charges were filed.
1:50 p.m. A woman on the 18000 block of County Road 23.5, owner of West Fork Lumber Co., reported a possible fraud. The woman claimed the bank refused a near $9,000 lumber purchase via check due to insufficient funds. The buyer reported that he stopped payment on the check after noticing a discrepancy in the bill. The case remains under investigation.
10:30 p.m. Deputies stopped a motorist for crossing the yellow line on the 21000 block of County Road U. A woman was arrested and charged with DWAI after registering a .075 blood alcohol content. She was also verbally warned for failure to maintain a single lane.
Friday, Sept. 11
12 a.m. Deputies reported receiving multiple black bear sightings over the last two weeks in Dolores. Sightings were reported on Merrett Way and Hillside Avenue. Residents were urged to secure trashcans.
10:15 a.m. A man reported unauthorized online purchases with his debit card. Three separate purchases at Footlocker totaling more than $430 were made.
12:45 p.m. A man reported that he found a bicycle two weeks ago at his residence on the 10000 block of U.S. 491.
2:14 p.m. Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Central Avenue in Dolores for a dispute. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
6:41 p.m. Deputies stopped a motorist on the 6000 block of U.S. 160 for speeding, 65 in a 55 mph zone. The driver was arrested and charged with DUI, driving with an expired license and speeding.
7:03 p.m. Deputies reported that a motorist failed to yield to emergency vehicles during a traffic stop on the 5000 block of U.S. 160. A male passenger was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants.
7:49 p.m. Deputies responded to a motorcycle accident on Forest Service Road 527. A man was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital for back, shoulder and foot pain.
Sunday, Sept. 13
1:32 p.m. Deputies responded to the 11000 block of County Road 24 for a disturbance. A woman reportedly head-butted and shoved her husband before her son and daughter joined the assault. Acting in self-defense, the man claimed he armed himself with an unloaded shotgun. The daughter claimed the man threw a pot and head-butted her mother. The woman admitted to throwing an object against the wall and a pot onto the floor during a verbal confrontation with her husband. The woman was arrested and charged with harassment, criminal mischief and domestic violence.
Monday, Sept. 14
1:18 p.m. Deputies responded to Eagle Claw Liquors for a confiscated driver’s license. A clerk reported that a man attempted to use another individual’s driver’s license to make a purchase.
Tuesday, Sept. 15
5:50 p.m. Deputies responded to the 33000 block of Hwy. 184 for a fight in progress. A man, questioned by authorities some 45 minutes earlier regarding a trespass call, was reportedly wrestling with his cousin in the roadway. The man was arrested and charged with obstructing traffic.
Wednesday, Sept. 16
6:43 p.m. Deputies responded to the 27000 block of County Road H for a reckless driver. Two women were arrested on multiple outstanding warrants.
Thursday, Sept. 17
8:39 a.m. Deputies responded to the 23000 block of County Road G for a disturbance in progress. A man, reportedly looking for his shoes, started throwing rocks at a woman’s home. He was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants and violating a protection order. The alleged victim gave deputies the man’s shoes.
Friday, Sept. 18
7 p.m. A man on the 44000 block of County Road H reported a restraining order violation. Using a game camera, the homeowner reportedly captured images of a man and woman entering his property. The male suspect was arrested and charged with violating a restraining order.
Saturday, Sept. 19
11:35 a.m. Deputies observed a motorist speeding along the 20000 block of County Road G, 58 in a 40 mph zone. A woman was ticketed for lack of insurance, driving without a license and speeding.
12:11 p.m. Deputies observed a motorist speeding along the 20000 block of County Road G, 48 in a 40 mph zone. A man was ticketed for driving with a suspended license, lack of insurance and speeding.
1:22 p.m. Deputies observed a motorist speeding along the 21000 block of County Road G, 50 in a 40 mph zone. A woman was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and speeding.
11:02 p.m. Deputies observed a motorist speeding along the 28000 block of U.S. 160, 80 in a 65 mph zone. A man was arrested and charged with DUI, violating a protection order, driving under restraint, driving without a license, speeding and illegal passing.
Sunday, Sept. 20
1:14 a.m. Deputies observed a motorist speeding along the 11000 block of U.S. 491, 83 in a 65 mph zone. A man was ticketed for speeding and lack of insurance.
2:04 a.m. Deputies responded to Totten Lake for a noise disturbance. A woman was arrested and charged with DUI.
Monday, Sept. 21
11:04 a.m. Deputies responded to the 10000 block of County Road 29 for a cold burglary. A 12-guage shotgun, multiple packs of cigarettes, silver coins and jewelry were reported missing. A man was arrested and charged with burglary after his telephone was found at the scene. Some of the coins and cigarettes were recovered.
Tuesday, Sept. 22
9:48 a.m. Deputies responded to the 19000 block of County Road G for a disturbance in progress. A man, who declined to press charges after he was punched in the face, was arrested for violating a no alcohol order.
