ABBY is a gorgeous 1-year old spayed female chocolate Labrador retriever. She has beautiful coloring — a reddish-brown coat and striking pale gold eyes. She offers a sweet disposition, and gets along great with kids and other dogs. Abby knows basic commands, and would do best at a home with a fenced yard. Consider offering this girl a forever home. She is available for adoption at the Cortez Animal Shelter, located at 2791 E. Main St. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and open every other Friday. The shelter will be closed this Friday for intensive cleaning. This week, the shelter needs adult dry dog food (Purina, Pedigree, or Iams), Purina Puppy Chow, paper towels, Pine Sol, and pig ears to occupy our dogs.
