5:24 p.m. A man reported a slashed tire on the 11000 block of Hwy. 145. The man said he recently purchased a “laser communicator” after 10 black people tried to poison him, and his neighbors used the laser communicator to tell him that “domestic terrorist” were responsible for puncturing his tire. Authorities photographed the laser communicator. The tire wasn’t punctured.
7:49 p.m. A motorist reported a purple van forced his vehicle off the road and onto a sidewalk near the 9000 block of County Road 27. A woman was arrested and charged with DUI, reckless driving and failure to drive on the right side of the road.
Sunday, Oct. 18
9:52 a.m. Deputies responded to a residence on the 23000 block of County Road G for a disturbance. A verbal and physical confrontation allegedly occurred after a man admitted that he had been unfaithful. Both the woman and man involved in the incident were arrested and charged with criminal mischief, harassment and domestic violence. Authorities noted that broken glass was found throughout the two-story residence.
3:04 p.m. A fight was reported between two inmates at the Montezuma County jail. Surveillance footage revealed that a man was repeatedly punched and kneed in the face. The alleged attacker was charged with assault.
Monday, Oct. 19
10:51 a.m. A woman reported that her purse, $80 and four debit cards were stolen from her unlocked vehicle parked at the Dolores Grocery.
12:23 p.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at a residence on the 24000 block of County Road F.
5:09 p.m. A motorist was stopped for a broken taillight near the 21000 block of U.S. 491. The driver was arrested and charged with no insurance, defective taillight, expired tags and served an outstanding warrant.
5:40 p.m. A lost purse was returned to a woman.
6:30 p.m. A man reported a vandalized vehicle on the 29000 block of County Road P.5. Three rocks were apparently thrown threw the windshield and a panel window. Damages were estimated at $195.
8:33 p.m. A motorist was stopped for an obstructed license plate near the 100 block of U.S. 160. The driver was ticketed for lack of insurance and given a verbal warning about the tag.
Tuesday, Oct. 20
9:21 p.m. A motorist was stopped for no license plate on the 33000 block of U.S. 160. The driver was ticketed for no insurance and defective license plate lamp.
Wednesday, Oct. 21
9:52 p.m. Deputies responded to a disturbance in progress at a residence on the 300 block of North 15th Street in Dolores. A woman reported that a verbal argument ensued after her boyfriend looked at her text messages and threw a phone valued at $100 against the wall. A man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and domestic violence.
