Dear Editor:
The obstinate birthers finally have come a cropper. In the face of overwhelming testimony from Hawaiian officials up to the governor of Hawaii himself, in the face of a legal certificate of live birth, in the face of his birth announcement in Hawaiian newspapers, and in the face of personal testimony from the Obama family, petulant birthers refuse to accept the legitimacy of the Obama presidency.
From day one of his life, there never was doubt that Barack Obama is an American citizen. The fact that Barack Obama was born of a woman who is an American citizen automatically made him one as well, regardless of where he was born. That is the definition of a native-born American. Therefore, Barack Obama never had to prove his eligibility for the American presidency to anyone, anytime.
Lets be clear about what really motivates birthers. Its not any concern for the welfare of America. Its their sore-headed refusal to accept the overwhelming election of a candidate with a scary name whose mixed racial heritage and inclusive political philosophy differs from their own rigid, inflexible, extreme conservatism.
Now pig-headed birthers are demanding access to Barack Obamas college transcripts, for what purpose only their petty little minds know. Barack Obama won the presidency fair and square over two years ago, birthers. Get over it!
