Dear Editor:
The action group, Save Our Councilors (the original SOC) wishes to thank the many people who assisted us in our goal to make certain the recall failed. We had just organized our group, established our name and website, and made contact with the Secretary of State, when people began notifying us of their desire to help us in any way they could. Many gave money to help defray costs that are always generated when reaching out to the public. Others gave in time as well as suggestions and ideas. Also appreciated were the phone calls, e-mails, and impromptu conversations of support and encouragement as well as those who went out of their way, as we would meet around the area, to say thank you for doing what needed to be done. The election outcome is indicative that there are too many people to mention names, so please accept this as our thank you. It was another example of community effort doing what is best for the city.
