Sunday, Oct. 9

11:05 p.m. A motorist reported a possible road rage incident while traveling on the 15000 block of County Road 30. A woman reported that an SUV traveling in front of her was braking and changing its speed at random times.

Monday, Nov. 23

8:38 p.m. A gate at the Cortez Softball Complex was reportedly damaged. Repairs were estimated at $700.

Tuesday, Dec. 1

7:51 p.m. A hit and run was reported at the Dolores High School. A fender was struck.

Wednesday, Dec. 2

3:31 p.m. A man called deputies after finding a stereo inside a trash can on the 30000 block of U.S. 160.

Thursday, Dec. 3

7:10 a.m. A man was ticketed for a hit and run after apparently skidding off the road near the intersection of county roads N and 22 and striking a mailbox and fence. Deputies were able to track the suspect, because a license plate was found at the scene. Damages were estimated at $200.

10:58 a.m. A motorist was arrested and charged with DUI, driving with a restrained license and failure to signal after a detective observed the man drinking and driving while leaving Denny Lake.

12:43 p.m. A Dolores man reported receiving multiple threatening and harassing telephone messages at his residence on the 1000 block of Central Avenue from a man in regard to a woman. The reporting party requested harassment charges if the calls continued.

6:35 p.m. A motorist was stopped for speeding at an undisclosed rate on the 14000 block of Hwy. 145. A passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant. The driver was given a verbal warning for speeding and failure to use a turn signal.

9:57 p.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after deputies responded to a child custody call on the 25000 block of County Road F.6.

Friday, Dec. 4

12 p.m. A woman retrieved her cell phone following a civil standby at a residence on the 7300 block of County Road 22.9.

2:07 p.m. A motorist was ticketed for speeding, 61 in a 45 mph zone, after a traffic stop near mile marker 27 on U.S. 160. The driver was also ticketed for illegal possession of marijuana by a minor and possession of paraphernalia.

Saturday, Dec. 5

3:52 a.m. A woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant after police responded to a suicidal threat call at McLaughlin Trailer Park.

7:59 p.m. An injured deer was euthanized after being struck by a motorist near mile marker 35 on U.S. 491.

1:02 p.m. A motorist was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop on the 28000 block of U.S. 160. The driver was also ticketed for expired plates and lack of insurance.

Monday, Dec. 7

10:57 a.m. A man reported that two dogs had killed a total of 24 lambs at his residence on the 19000 block of County Road 14.

5:21 p.m. A man was ticketed for dog running at large after a woman reported that she was bit by a dog while checking her mail on the 11000 block of County Road 39.2.

Tuesday, Dec. 8

8:15 a.m. A woman reported a go-kart valued at $300 was stolen from a residence on the 6000 block of County Road 24.2

8:51 p.m. A motorist was stopped for speeding, 76 in a 65 mph zone, on the 2000 block of U.S. 160. The driver was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and a passenger was arrested for an undisclosed offense.

9:26 p.m. A deer was euthanized along the 27000 block of County Road P after struck by a vehicle.

9:31 p.m. A deer was euthanized along the 37000 block of U.S. 160 after struck by a vehicle.

Wednesday, Dec. 9

12:41 p.m. A woman was arrested for trespassing at the Giant Gas Station in Dolores.

Thursday, Dec. 10

12:58 p.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop on the 12000 block of U.S. 491.

Friday, Dec. 11

9:45 a.m. An intoxicated man was arrested and charged with violating a protection order and violating bond conditions after he reportedly walked into the U.S. Post Office in Dolores and demanded his mail-ordered Star Wars Light Saber. The man was also served with an outstanding warrant.

1:30 p.m. An inmate at the Montezuma County jail was charged with assault after she reportedly spit on a nurse while in a restraint chair.

Saturday, Dec. 12

11:09 a.m. A vehicle passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop near mile marker 18 on U.S. 160. The driver was issued a written warning for speeding, 80 in a 65 mph zone, and passing in an unsafe manner.

12:21 p.m. A woman reported receiving telephone calls from two scam artists, one involving a computer virus repair, (213) 221-6159, and the other involving unpaid taxes, (347) 221-6159.

Sunday, Dec. 13

7:44 a.m. A man was ticketed for speeding, 77 in a 65 mph zone, and lack of insurance following a traffic stop on the 4000 block of U.S. 160. The vehicle was towed.

11:10 a.m. A man was ticketed for speeding, 74 in a 65 mph zone, and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop near mile marker 13 on U.S. 160.

3:15 p.m. A man and woman were both ticketed for two dogs running at large along the 400 block of Railroad Avenue in Dolores.

Monday, Dec. 14

4:26 p.m. A woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant after the vehicle she was driving slid off the road near the Hwy. 184 and County Road 22 intersection.
