Dolores Ranger District to burn slash piles later this week

The San Juan National Forest Dolores Ranger District plans to burn slash piles resulting from fuels-reduction efforts on 60 acres at McPhee Park, beginning Thursday, Dec. 17.

McPhee Park is about 12 miles north of Dolores on the Dolores/Norwood Road (FS Road 526) at its intersection with FS Road 531.

This effort will be the district’s final pile burning for this calendar year.
