Friday, Sept. 4

6:20 p.m. Made available to the public last week, deputies reported that a woman was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, drug possession, tampering with evidence, and obstruction after Ute Mountain Casino officials reported that she hid methamphetamines inside her bra. Nearly 9 grams of methamphetamines were seized.

Saturday, Oct. 10

7:30 p.m. Made available to the public last week, deputies reported that two men were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and drug possession after a traffic stop for a front license plate on the dash was made near the Ute Mountain Casino. The driver was also charged with lack of insurance and displaying fictitious plates. A K-9 unit reportedly alerted on the vehicle, and an undisclosed amount of methamphetamines and more than $1,600 in cash were seized.

Wednesday, Nov. 18

5:30 p.m. Made available to the public last week, deputies reported a mobile home valued at $10,000 was stolen from the Lakeside Trailer Park. Two suspects were subsequently arrested on outstanding warrants.

Friday, Nov. 27

11:45 a.m. Made available to the public last week, a motorist was ticketed for lack of insurance and speeding, 81 in a 65 mph zone, along the 13000 block of U.S. 491.

Saturday, Nov. 28

3:28 p.m. Made available to the public last week, a motorist was ticketed for speeding, 93 in a 65 mph zone, along the 33000 block of U.S. 160

Monday, Dec. 14

11:55 a.m. A man reported that a pistol and his wife’s purse were both stolen from a vehicle while parked on the 6000 block of County Road 24. Losses were estimated at $310.

Thursday, Dec. 17

8:54 a.m. A man was arrested on two outstanding warrants while deputies patrolled along the 13000 block of Hwy. 145. The man was also charged with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, violating bond conditions and violating a protection order after methamphetamines and a pipe were discovered inside a patrol vehicle.

Friday, Dec. 18

12:40 a.m. A motorist was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop for a non-working license plate light on the 17000 block of Hwy. 145. The man was also ticketed for driving without a license.

1:35 p.m. A man wanted by the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office in connection to a bomb threat was taken into custody at a residence on the 6000 block of County Road 25. Authorities reportedly searched outbuildings for possible explosives, but they didn’t disclose if any explosives were found.

1:47 p.m. A man was arrested and charged with assault, criminal mischief, harassment, domestic violence, violating bail bond conditions and violating a protection order after he allegedly made verbal threats and kicked a door over a hidden wallet inside a residence on the 23000 block of County Road F.5. Two doors valued at $300 each were reportedly damaged.

11:02 p.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at the Ute Mountain Casino.

Saturday, Dec. 19

9:08 a.m. A couple reported suspicious foot prints in the snow at their residence on the 39000 block of Hwy. 184.

Sunday, Dec. 20

6:58 a.m. A deer was euthanized after its leg became snared in a fence at a residence on the 100 block of North 7th Street in Dolores.

2:30 p.m. A motorist was ticketed for underage marijuana possession, underage possession of drug paraphernalia, lack of insurance and no driver’s license after deputies observed multiple illegal passes along the 8000 block of U.S. 160.

Monday, Dec. 21

12:08 a.m. A motorist was issued a written warning after a vehicle was observed weaving along the 6000 block of County Road 21. A fictitious license plate was also seized.

11:01 a.m. A woman reported that a gate valued at $300 was stolen at a residence on the 42000 block of County Road H.25.

1:22 p.m. A motorist was arrested and charged with possession of anabolic steroids and issued a written warning for failing to signal a lane change along the 300 block of North Broadway. After a K-9 unit reportedly alerted on the vehicle, a passenger was also arrested and charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities seized multiple hypodermic needles, a spoon and snorting straws. Vials containing testosterone were also confiscated.

Tuesday, Dec. 22

9:55 a.m. Two women, including a pregnant woman, received medical attention after a pickup truck lost control and flipped along the 26000 block of County Road L.

11:30 p.m. A motorist was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop for a trailer without any lights was made along the 3000 block of U.S. 160.

Thursday, Dec. 24

9:20 a.m. A vehicle was discovered flipped over along the 8000 block of County Road 25. No injuries were reported.

11:57 p.m. A structure fire was reported at inside a garage on the 10000 block of County Road 35. A faulty extension cord reportedly cased the blaze. No injuries were reported.

Saturday, Dec. 26

3:37 p.m. A motorist was ticketed for displaying a fictitious license plate, driving with a suspended license and no insurance after a traffic stop for a non-working brake light on the 4000 block of U.S. 160.

Sunday, Dec. 27

1:20 p.m. A vehicle passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant along the 28000 block of U.S. 160.

1:25 p.m. A motorist was ticketed for driving without a license and obstructed license plate after a traffic stop for a snow-obstructed rear license plate along the 27000 block of U.S. 160.

Monday, Dec. 28

11:48 a.m. A hitch hiker was arrested on an outstanding warrant along the 33000 block of U.S. 160
