Colorado State University La Plata County Extension Office plans to host free informational classes about radon at the Fairgrounds Extension Building, 500 Main Ave., in January and February.
Classes will be held in the Animas Room on the following dates:
Jan. 26, 10-11 a.m. and 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Feb. 9, 10-11 a.m.
Feb. 16, 1-2 p.m.
Feb. 26, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
A limited number of free radon screening tool kits will be available for those that have pre-registered for the class at least three days in advance. Those registering at the door will pay a discounted price of $5 per kit.
