Zaiden Yake’s goal is to wrestle in the Olympics.

And although the Cortez native is only in kindergarten, he’s already pursuing the dream.

Last weekend, Yake added to his list of wrestling accomplishments by taking second place in the bantam 40-pound division of the Cliff Keen USAW Folkstyle Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

While the national championship tournament wrapped up the six-year-old’s current season, his mother, Holly Buffington-Yake, said that he’s already looking forward to next season – and beyond.
