Ÿ Brainerd A. Cuthair, 44, of Towaoc, pleaded guilty to one count of harassment-strike/shove/kick, and was sentenced to 12 months probation. He was fined for a misdemeanor in the amount of $750-suspended, and was ordered to pay $784.50 in fines and costs. Additionally, he was ordered to engage in anger management classes and follow all recommendations for evaluation and treatment suggested by probation. He must violate no laws, traffic or criminal, and keep his address current with the court.

Ÿ Diranda L. Benally, 37, of Fruitland, N.M., pleaded guilty to one count of driving while ability impaired, her fourth DUI conviction. She was sentenced to 120 days in jail, with 72 days credit for time served, and 48 days remaining to serve at this time, as well as an additional 365 days in jail with suspended disposition as long as terms of probation are followed. She received 24 months supervised probation, and must follow all standard conditions of probation, including no alcohol or illegal drug use. She was ordered to pay $2,083.15 in fines and costs. She must attend a Victim Impact Panel, and undergo level two education and 68 hours of therapy, Track C, and enhanced outpatient therapy. She must submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol, and attend parenting classes. She must also complete 90 hours of useful community service, to be completed by April 10, 2013.

Ÿ Zackary D. Nelson, 19, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of driving while ability impaired. This was defendant’s second DUI conviction. He was fined $1,000-suspended, and received a deferred sentence of 12 months, 365 days jail with suspended disposition. He was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation and must submit to 20 days of electronic surveillance, and random tests for drugs and alcohol every three days. He was ordered to pay $1,493.50 in fines and costs, and must complete 60 hours of useful community service by April 1, 2012. He must attend a Victim Impact Panel, level two education and 68 hours of therapy, Track C. Standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal drug use.

Ÿ Michael J. Eiland, 25, of Cortez, pleaded guilty of one count of harassment-strike/shove/kick and was sentenced to 24 months of probation, with 45 days credit for time served. He was ordered to pay $1,682.80 in fines and costs. He must obtain a domestic violence evaluation and follow all recommendations, and submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol as directed by probation. Defendant must follow all standard conditions of probation, including no alcohol or illegal drug use. He received an additional misdemeanor fine of $750, which will be suspended on successful completion of probation. He must have no contact with victim.

Ÿ Vernon J. Begay, 22, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal mischief-under $500, and was sentenced to 24 months probation, and must pay restitution. He was ordered to pay $927.79 in fines and costs, received a misdemeanor fine of $1,000-suspended. He must complete a domestic violence evaluation and follow all recommendations, and must report to probation on release from jail, and undergo treatment and supervision. He was ordered to complete 24 hours of useful community service, which must be completed by April 4, 2012. Defendant must complete GED program.

Ÿ Vernon J. Begay, 22, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of protection order violation. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 25 days credit for time served, and was sentenced to two years probation. He was ordered to pay $1,384.50 in fines and costs, and report to state probation and follow all recommendations. He must violate no laws, traffic or criminal, and keep address current with the court.

Ÿ Lynn J. Hoffman, 39, of Dove Creek, pleaded guilty to one count of driving while ability impaired, her first DUI conviction. She was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation and ordered to pay $554.50 in fines and costs. She must complete 24 hours of useful public service by April 1, 2012, and must attend a victim impact panel, level two education and 42 hours of therapy, Track A. She must submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol. A mental health evaluation is required, and standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal drug use.

Ÿ Stefen M. Chihocky, 20, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of alcohol-underage possession. He was sentenced to six months probation-revoked and terminated as unsuccessful. He was ordered to pay $234.50 in fines and costs, and ordered to complete 24 hours of community service. He was ordered to submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol for six months, and follow all other standard conditions of probation, including no alcohol or drug use.

Ÿ Stefen M. Chihocky, 20, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of theft/receiving-under $500 and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, and 12 months probation. He was ordered to pay $784.50 in fines and costs. Work release is authorized by the court if defendant is eligible. Sentence will run concurrent with Case 11CR13.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 11

Ÿ Rubi Baldimor, 48, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of driving after revocation-prohibited. He received a sentence of 30 days jail-suspended sentence and received a misdemeanor fine of $500-suspended if 80 hours of useful public service is completed by Nov. 11. He was ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs.
