Orion and Neptune still need a home. These two brothers were adopted but were returned to the shelter due to a child’s allergies. Neptune is big and brawny, white with unusual orange markings (he sort of looks like he’s wearing a toupee parted down the middle), and Orion is smaller, a pumpkin-colored tortoiseshell with white markings. They love each other, and do play, but are mainly mellow and enjoy lounging around together. This pair of five-year old brothers have lived their whole lives in this close relationship; they need to find a home where they can stay together. They are neutered males that have been declawed, so they’ll need to be indoor cats. They are good boys that deserve a happy home. Orion and Neptune are available for adoption at the Cortez Animal Shelter, located at 2791 E. Main St. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and open every other Friday. The shelter will be open this Friday. This week, the shelter needs Iams kitten food, Purina adult cat food, Purina puppy chow, dish soap, and dog treats – rawhides or pig ears – to occupy our dogs’ time. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910. To view more animals, visit www.petfinder.com (enter 81321 zip code) or http://www.cityofcortez.com/government/animal_shelter.
