The Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs has received funding from the Economic Development Administration’s EDA i6 grant application by the Telluride Foundation. The funds are for building a Southwest Innovation Corridor and will be up to $110,000.

SCAPE was included as a grant partner by the Telluride Foundation to cover Southwest Colorado with accelerator efforts to create and develop high growth, job creating companies.

SCAPE is a six-month program offering in-depth mentoring by subject matter experts, office space and capital to help new businesses launch, and enter markets. Since beginning in 2013, the program has worked with 15 local businesses, and created 36 jobs in Southwest Colorado. They have raised $3,020,000 of capital to grow their business, and the majority of this money has been spent locally.

SCAPE companies have been featured in Cadillac Commercials, Modern Family TV show, Denver News, Amazon Launchpad, inc.com, Tech Crunch, and Product Hunt.

Local companies can apply to be a part of the 2017 SCAPE program when the application opens on Sept. 1, 2016. For more information about SCAPE, go to www.goscape.org.
