The Cortez Public Library has scheduled a Craftapalooza for Friday, July 22, with crafts and fun activities available for toddlers to teenagers.
“We are currently in the planning stages so we would love input and to have your organization join us by either having a “booth” or bringing kid,” Vangi McCoy, coordinator of the Montelores Early Childhood Council, stated in an email to The Journal. “We are praying for good weather so we can have a portion of the booths outside.”
McCoy encouraged vendors to bring a canopy or tent, chairs, a table and “all your literature and craft stuff.” The library is also trying to get at least one food vendor.
McCoy also stated that a videographer from the Denver area was hired by the state library to film the event for a documentary on the Supporting Parents in Early Literacy through Libraries (SPELL).
