Pinhead Institute Punk Science: Cooking Up Computer Coding, 5:15-6 p.m. at the Cortez Cultural Center. How is building a video game like baking a cake? Learn the recipe for creating the final Punk Science program of the season. Computer scientist Basit Mustafa will deconstruct the programming process and show kids how, rather than being intimidating, computer coding is really just an organized assembly of byte-size pieces.

Visit the Montezuma School to Farm Project farm stand, run by youths, at the 1st Southwest Bank Customer Appreciation Party, 510 E. Main St. First Southwest Bank will match each dollar spent or donated at the farm stand, and will grill free burgers with fresh local tomatoes, lettuce and onions. All proceeds benefit the Cortez Elementary School Gardens.
