Zakotah Sevon nominated for Reno arts award

Zakotah Sevon, formerly of Dove Creek, has been nominated for a Forte Award, a contest in which the public may vote for top performers in Reno, Nevada.

Sevon was a member of Ruth Wilson Francisco’s Musical Theatre Group, Southwest Singers of Cortez, and performed in local theater productions.

She has been a theater student at Spanish Springs High School in Sparks, Nevada, receiving awards including National Thespian Society Chapter 6737 Honor Student, Spanish Springs High School Senior Theatre Student of 2016 and the Governor of Nevada Millenium scholarship.

The show is Thursday, Nov. 3, and begins with a red carpet entry for the nominees at Reno’s Grand Theatre.

Sevon is granddaughter of Lloyd and Bonnie Gallion of Cortez, and daughter Athena and Jeff Sevon of Dove Creek.
