M-CHS soccer slips versus Bayfield

The Montezuma-Cortez Panthers came up one goal short against the Bayfield Wolverines on Tuesday at Wolverine Country Stadium.

The visiting Panthers were down 2-0 at the break, but Alden Adams and Manuel Martinez each scored in the second half to keep M-CHS in it.

However, Bayfield got two goals from Finlay Marshall and another from Marcus Isiordia to win, 3-2.

Now 1-9 on the season and 0-8 in the 3A Intermountain League, M-CHS has just four more games remaining.

The Panthers host the Alamosa Mean Moose on Friday at 5 p.m.
