Shibori Dyeing with Shar Short, Oct. 15, 9:30-2:30 p.m.Learn the techniques for Shibori hand dyeing natural fabrics. The class includes a short history and learning a variety of techniques, including preparing fabric for dyeing and hand dyeing the prepared pieces with Procion fiber reactive dyes.
Make a Blacksmith Rose with Steve Williams, Oct. 15, 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.Learn how to use the plasma cutter, to cut out the rose petals, or use precut petals. Learn to forge the stems and leaves and assemble of all the parts and antique brass finish. Take home a masterpiece!
Ocean Drum Gourd with Janice Reich, Oct. 29 10 a.m.-4 p.m.Create a beautiful and soulful ocean drum out of a large canteen gourd in this one day class. Students will learn how to construct and decorate an ocean drum out of a large canteen gourd in this class.
