Ian MacLaren plays his violin at An Evening in Her Shoes benefit for Renew/WINGS Safehouse, held Saturday at the Elks lodge in Cortez. Billed as a featured entertainer and the presumed belle of the ball with his “supermodel ... athleticism and height,” MacLaren came up short in the contest, finishing as an also-ran behind top two finishers Gary Noyes and bearded lady Orley Lucero.
