The 17th annual Dolores Ski and Sport Swap will take place at the Dolores Community Center on Saturday, Nov. 12 from  8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Drop off ski and snowboard gear you’d like to sell on Friday from 4 p.m.— 8 p.m.

There will be Telluride passes for sale: The T-Card is $80 and comes with one day of skiing and a 20 percent off the window lift ticket price.

The three-day pass is $249, six-day $375, ten-day $549, and adult season pass is $1,200. Seniors age 65 to 79 can buy a season pass for $749. For those ages 80 and up, the Palmyra season pass is just $100. The deals are only available on Nov. 12, so make sure you make it for the annual Dolores’ pre-season ski and snowboard event.

Telluride spokeswoman Shannon Gibbs said the resort is aiming for opening day on Thanksgiving, Nov. 24, “but right now the weather is not too favorable.” The ski area is making snow however and will update the public on opening-day plans.

Proceeds from the gear sales will go towards Dolores School’s ski and snowboard program, which offers discounted Telluride ski passes and lessons for students. The boys basketball team will be selling burritos and baked goods, with proceeds going toward the high school basketball program.
