The Paths to Mesa Verde Design Team and the town of Mancos invite Montezuma County residents to the first community meeting Thursday, Dec. 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mancos Town Hall.

The meeting will be to discuss the concept of a multi-use pathway between Mancos and Cortez.

This proposed multi-use path would provide a safe alternative transportation route along the Highway 160 corridor that will connect to Mesa Verde National Park, the BLM Phil’s World Trail Park, the Southwest Colorado Community College, and the Montezuma County Fairground.

There will be an opportunity to view a short presentation, ask questions, and give input on possible trail routes through hands on mapping.

This is your best opportunity to provide input on the proposed trail in order to help steer its direction. A second public meeting will be held in Cortez after the preliminary alignments have been developed.
