Krystle Hager recently had the honor of performing at the 67th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade in Houston, Texas.

The Dolores junior dance team member was one of over 300 All-American dancers and cheerleaders selected from Varsity Spirit camps across the country. Hager tried out and was selected during a summer camp in Farmington, New Mexico.

After receiving video of the routine and practicing on her own leading up to the event, she joined up with fellow All-Americans in Houston on Tuesday, Nov. 22.

“Probably just meeting new people,” Hager said when asked her favorite part of the trip. “Because there were people from all over and it was cool to talk to them.”

While she and the hundreds of other All-Americans rehearsed their routine on Tuesday evening, they were able to visit NASA’s Johnson Space Center and Kemah Boardwalk on Wednesday.

Then on Thursday, Hager and her new friends performed through the downtown Houston streets alongside floats and balloons in the largest holiday parade in Texas.

Hager will continue to perform as a part of the Dolores High School dance team, and she said she plans to try out for the Varsity Spirit All-American team again next year.
