Photo: Pancakes for Mesa Elementary

The Cortez Fire Protection District on Friday morning served a pancake breakfast to fourth- and fifth-grade students at Mesa Elementary School. Patricia Thornbrugh, a teacher at Mesa, organized the event, in which kids learned about kitchen safety while getting a breakfast.
