Saturday, Feb. 25

4 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, careless driving, and violating a court order and bond conditions that banned him from consuming alcohol after he apparently drove his vehicle into a ditch in the 38000 block of U.S. Highway 160 in Mancos.

3:27 a.m.: A man was arrested at U.S. Highway 160 and Colorado 145 on suspicion of DWAI, possessing alcohol as a minor and weaving. He was released in the custody of his mother.

11:36 a.m.: A man was cited for speeding – 93 mph in a 65 mph zone – in the 10000 block of U.S. Highway 491.

4 p.m.: A man was arrested at his ex-girlfriend’s home, in the 13800 block of County Road 28, on suspicion of violating a restraining order by telephoning her so he could pick up his belongings.

10:52 p.m.: A man was pulled over at County Roads 25 and H after allegedly running a stop sign. He was cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs, possessing drug paraphernalia and failing to provide proof of insurance. He was left in the custody of his passenger.

10: 57 p.m.: A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., for failing to appear in court in a drug case.

Sunday, Feb. 26

3:58 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and failing to drive in a single lane after he was pulled over on U.S. Highway 160 near Towaoc.

9:44 a.m.: A woman was cited for driving with a revoked license and speeding – 54 mph in a 40 mph zone – in the 25000 block of County Road H.

8:35 p.m.: An inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was suspected of telephoning his victim in Towaoc. Jail staff responded by blocking her telephone number.

11:29 p.m.: A deputy recognized a man playing a slot machine at the Ute Mountain Casino in Towaoc and arrested him on a felony warrant.

Monday, Feb. 27

12:35 p.m.: A man turned himself in at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on a warrant.

Tuesday, Feb. 28

12:42 a.m.: A juvenile boy was arrested on Mildred Road on suspicion of stealing his mother’s pickup truck, and was released in the custody of his mother.

10:10 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9 p.m.: A juvenile boy who had been arrested on suspicion of stealing his mother’s truck the night before was arrested in the 24000 block of County Road M and transported to the juvenile facility in Grand Junction on suspicion of fleeing an officer, concealing evidence, destroying property and possessing marijuana. He was arrested after his mother reported that he was destroying property in her home, including a phone, bowl and bird feeder. He was arrested after fleeing through several pastures and hiding in some trees.

Friday, March 3

9:47 p.m.: A man was arrested at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant for failing to comply in a traffic case.

Saturday, March 4

12:29 a.m.: A woman was pulled over for a defective tail light in the 500 block of Railroad Avenue in Dolores, cited for DUI, and left in the custody of a relative.

12:15 a.m.: A woman was pulled over after failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign at County Roads 25 and H and cited for driving with a canceled license. Her vehicle was released to a valid driver.

2:58 a.m.: A woman was taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital because after an apparent drug overdose after friends called emergency responders from a residence on County Road 25. A deputy seized evidence including 22 syringes and two suspected meth pipes.
