FRIDAY, JUNE 3

Ÿ Kyle R. Donald, 30, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal mischief-under $500, and received a deferred sentence of 12 months probation-unsupervised. He was ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs, and to perform 48 hours of community service. Additionally, he must obtain an alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations of same. He must violate no laws, traffic or criminal, and keep his address current with the court.

MONDAY, JUNE 6

Ÿ Garrett Begay, 31, of Phoenix, pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct-offensive gesture. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail and was ordered to pay $182 in fines and costs.

TUESDAY, JUNE 7

Ÿ Michael Shane Downs, 24, of Cortez, received a deferred sentence for one count of disorderly conduct-offensive gesture, and was ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs. Additionally, he must violate no laws, traffic or criminal, and keep his address current with the court.

Ÿ Melony Lindsey Sims, 18, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of underage possession/consumption of alcohol. She was ordered to pay $182 in fines and costs, and was recommended to participate in a youth outpatient program at CARS or a tribal equivalent. She must follow all recommendations through a treatment provider. Defendant additionally received a suspended fine of $250, payable if she does not complete treatment and education program by Dec. 9.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8

Ÿ Cole W. Boyd, 18, of Mancos, pleaded guilty to one count of underage possession of alcohol, and pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, beginning June 10-sentence stayed for work release and weekends. He was also sentenced to 12 months probation-unsupervised, and was ordered to complete 72 hours of community service to be completed by June 6, 2012. He was ordered to pay $120.10 in fines and costs, and must obtain an alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations of same.

Ÿ Starla A. Small, 21, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal mischief-under $500, and received a deferred sentence of six months-unsupervised. She was ordered to pay $284.50 in fines and costs. Additionally, she must violate no laws, traffic or criminal, and must keep her address current with the court.

Ÿ Robert Edward Bement, 64, of Mancos, was found guilty of owning/possessing a dog not under control-uncontested. He received a fine of $50 (suspended), and was ordered to perform community service with a nonprofit organization by Sept. 18, and provide proof to the court of same within three months.
