Darrian Bugg, daughter of Dennis Bugg of Dolores and Tina Tevault of Grand Junction, was named to the dean’s honor list at Morningside College for the 2010-11 second semester, according to a written statement from Morningside College.

Bugg, a sophomore with a major in nursing, is a past graduate of Montezuma-Cortez High School.

Each semester the dean’s honor list recognizes students who achieve a 3.67 grade point average or better and complete at least 12 credits of course work with no grade below a C minus. William C. Deeds recently released the 2010-11 second semester dean’s honor list, and each student received a letter of recognition from Deeds.

Morningside College enrolled 1,991 full- and part-time students for the 2010-11 academic year and welcomes students of all faiths and backgrounds. Morningside offers five bachelor’s degrees, including bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music, bachelor of music education and bachelor of nursing, and a master of arts in teaching career. The college was founded in 1894 by the Methodist Episcopal Church and remains affiliated with the United Methodist Church today.
