FRIDAY, AUG. 19
Andrew James May, 40, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of ownership of a dangerous dog. He received a deferred sentence of 12 months unsupervised probation, and was ordered to pay $2,851.50 restitution, and provide proof to the court within 12 months regarding payment of restitution. He was ordered to violate no laws, traffic or criminal, and to keep his address current with the court.
Nathaniel Cambridge, 19, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of underage possession/consumption of alcohol. He was ordered to pay $301 in fines and costs.
Alfonso Pend Hernandez, 29, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of providing alcohol to a minor. He received a deferred sentence of 12 months unsupervised probation. He was ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs, and must complete 12 hours of useful public service by July 19, 2012. He must violate no laws, traffic or criminal, and must keep his address current with the court.
TUESDAY, AUG. 23
Anthony Davis Hill, 42, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of violation of a criminal protection order. He was sentenced to jail, concurrent with case No. 10M 597, with 15 days credit for time served. He was also ordered to pay $209.50 in fines and costs.
Joel L. Garcia, 24, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of harassment-strike/shove/kick. Defendant received 37 days credit for time served in jail, and was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, and must report to state probation immediately upon release from custody. He was ordered to pay $1,116 in fines and costs. He must follow all recommendations of probation and standard conditions of same, including no alcohol or illegal drug use. He must complete anger management evaluation, mental health evaluation, and substance abuse evaluation, and follow all recommendations from these evaluations. Defendant must also submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol. He was ordered to complete 48 hours of community service by July 23, 2012.
Kern D. Washington, 47, of Towaoc, pleaded guilty to one count of violation of a criminal protection order. He received credit for 15 days time served in jail, and was ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs.
Kevin D. Adamson, 41, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of protection order violation. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, sentence to run concurrent with case No. 11T 232, and to report to jail on Aug. 1. He was also ordered to pay $209.50 in fines and costs.
THURSDAY, AUG. 25
Jordan Bailey Hartman, 21, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal mischief-under $500 and received a jail sentence of 30 days in jail with suspended imposition if defendant meets all requirements listed. Defendant must obtain anger management evaluation, follow all recommendations and provide proof to the court. He must attend parenting classes and provide proof to the court, and pay restitution as ordered. All classes must be completed by Feb. 25, 2012. He was ordered to pay $557.65 in fines and costs.
Summer D. Smedstad, 29, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of harassment-strike/shove/kick, and received a deferred sentence of 12 months probation dependent on meeting the following conditions. Defendant was ordered to pay $784.50 in fines and costs in full within 30 days, must violate no laws, traffic or criminal, and must keep his address current with the court.
