We have to do better than Tipton

Dear Editor:

Today I looked at Scott Tipton’s official website. Under Issues, the Tax Reform link reads: “The issue of Tax Reform affects all of us and dealing with it is an important part of my work in Congress.” There is no text about how he views our tax code or what he proposes to bring to Congress for new tax legislation.

After this blank space it says, “For more information concerning my work and views on important issues, please contact my Washington, DC office .”

I guess I will have to call Scott to find out what he proposes to support as a tax reform program. So will you!

You might think I’m picking on one issue area that concerns me and that he could have forgotten to give the webmaster that particular sheet of information. No! All 12 issues he puts a focus on have no position statements and no proposed legislative action.

To be fair, on the web pages of 7 of the “important issues,” there are some links to snippets from articles written by reporters about Scott‘s public appearances.

There are also links on Tipton’s official site that include “Sponsored Legislation” and “Voting Record.” Under these links there is nothing provided by Tipton. You have to search on other official government sites to find out this information.

If you look at any other website for a Colorado representative, it has content written by that representative. Unfortunately, the Republican Representatives mostly talk about what they are against with no proposed legislation to correct these problems.

My conclusion is that Scott Tipton is not worthy or capable of even representing the Republicans in our District, let alone all the residents of the 3rd District.

We’ve got to do better in the next election!
