Ÿ Patricia Ann Parga, 55, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree assault-knowingly/recklessly causing injury. She was sentenced to 24 months probation, and was ordered to pay $1,384.50 in fines and costs. She must obtain an anger, mental health, and substance use evaluation and follow all recommendations of same. A protection order remains in effect.
Ÿ Larry Woody, 50, of Teec Nos Pos, Ariz., pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree assault-knowingly/recklessly causing injury. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail with 35 days credit for time served, and 12 months supervised probation. He was ordered to pay $787.50 in fines and costs, and must obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation, and follow all recommendations of same. A protection order remains in effect.
Ÿ Kristi C. Brossart, 47, of Mancos, pleaded guilty to one count of harassment — telephone — threat/obscenity, and received a deferred sentence. She received a suspended jail sentence of 30 days and a suspended misdemeanor fine of $750. She was ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs, and must complete 48 hours of community service by Jan. 26, 2012. She was ordered to violate no laws, traffic or criminal, and to keep her address current with the court. She also must obtain and submit an alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations of same. If all of the above conditions of deferral are not met, then the $750 fine and jail term will be ordered.
MONDAY, AUG. 29
Ÿ Tiffany Leanne Haile, 26, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal mischief-under $500, and was sentenced to 24 months of probation, to run concurrent with case No. 11M97. She was also ordered to pay $834 in fines and costs, and must attend parenting classes as deemed appropriate by probation. She must attend anger management classes and undergo ongoing mental health treatment and counseling services as directed by probation.
Ÿ Kyler Joe Cooper, 22, of Alamosa, Colo., pleaded guilty to one count of protection order violation-criminal. He was sentenced to 12 months probation, which may be transferred to San Luis Valley if probation allows, and was ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs. All standard conditions of probation apply, including no illegal drug or alcohol use. He must obtain an alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations of same. Defendant is ordered to report to private probation this date or after release from custody.
Ÿ Reggie Lamar Jacket, 30, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree assault-knowingly/recklessly causing injury, and one count of violation of a criminal protection order for which he was sentenced to 45 days in jail with three days credit for time served, and ordered to pay $212.50 in fines and costs. On the first matter, sentence is to run consecutive with case No. 11M 168. He was sentenced to an additional 45 days in jail, with an updated sentence of 24 months supervised probation. He was ordered to pay an additional $1,537.80 in fines and costs on the assault matter. All standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal drug use. Defendant must obtain an alcohol evaluation, a domestic violence evaluation, and an anger management evaluation and follow all recommendations of same. He must also attend parenting classes. There will be zero tolerance for probation violations in this matter. Defendant must report to serve two consecutive jail sentences on Sept. 17, and must report to state probation after release.
Ÿ Anthony Scott Heiney, 21, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal mischief-under $500, and received a deferred sentence of 24 months supervised probation. He was ordered to pay $1,433.30 in fines and costs. All standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal drug use. Defendant must complete TOP at Cortez Addictions Recovery Services for this case and for case No. C09-0346. He was ordered to obtain a domestic violence evaluation and follow all recommendations. He must obtain his GED. Defendant must undergo drug and alcohol program at CARS as recommended by probation officer. He must violate no laws, traffic or criminal, and must keep his address current with the court.
TUESDAY, AUG. 30
Ÿ Thomas Campbell, 20, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of driving while ability impaired. He received a suspended sentence of 30 days in jail, and 12 months supervised probation. He was ordered to pay $1,254.50 in fines and costs. Defendant has completed victim impact panel, and must complete level II education, outpatient therapy-Track A (42 hours), and Alive at 25 driving program. He must submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol use, and must engage in treatment within 15 days of sentencing. He must report to state probation as of this date and follow all recommendations. Probation may be transferred to Grand Junction to private probation if probation officer determines it appropriate. Defendant is also ordered to complete 24 hours of community service by Aug. 30, 2012.

Ÿ Michael Louis Williams Jr., 27, of Dolores, pleaded guilty to one count of marijuana possession under 2 ounces and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered to pay $526 in fines and costs.
