THURSDAY, SEPT. 1

Ÿ An officer on bike patrol heard loud music coming from a unit in the Sleeping Ute Apartment complex, and observed several people outside who appeared to be drinking, with several of them who appeared to be underage. Other officers arrived to assist, and as they approached the apartment they encountered a 16-year-old female throwing up on the north side of the apartment. As they approached the apartment, someone yelled “cops!” and the other individuals began to go inside the apartment. There were four female juveniles under the age of 18 who were consuming alcohol, including a 14-year-old, a 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds. The male, age 20, who rents the apartment, was asked why there were so many underage girls at his apartment; he stated that none of them were told they could be there, and that he had told them several times to leave. When it was mentioned that after being observed for 15 minutes, all of the underage individuals did not appear to be intruding or trespassing at his apartment, he said that he did not allow them to be there. Each of the underage females were issued summons for illegal consumption of alcohol and released to the custody of one of their own family members. The male was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 3

Ÿ An officer was dispatched to a residence after a report of loud music and people talking loudly. The officer parked nearby and was approached by a male who had an open bottle of whiskey in one hand and an a can of beer in the other. The male was unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech. The officer advised the male that if he poured out the two containers, he would not be cited for open container and for being intoxicated in the roadway. The male did as instructed. The officer advised the others outside of the apartment to keep the music volume and noise down. When the male rejoined the group of people standing outside, he began to yell profanities and was angry about the police contacting him. The group was able to get him back inside the apartment. The officer clearly heard the male yelling from inside that the police were messing with him and that tonight would be a good night for a cop to die. The male came back outside and confronted the officer again, and resisted when an arrest was attempted. The male was brought to the ground and handcuffed. A search of his person revealed a glass pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana.

Ÿ An officer conducting a traffic stop was approached by two males walking down the middle of the street. One of the males approached the occupants of the vehicle that had been pulled over, and bent down to talk to the passenger. The officer instructed him several times to keep walking; the suspect, who smelled of alcohol, responded sarcastically. The officer cleared the traffic stop and returned to his vehicle to leave, and the suspect on foot went and spoke with the occupants of the vehicle. As the officer traveled south on the street, the suspect walked backwards into the street, causing the officer to stop. After being told again to stay out of the street, the suspect became argumentative. The officer issued him a summons for intoxicated pedestrian, and when asked to sign, the suspect took the pen aggressively with an expletive, signed the summons, and then threw the pen, almost hitting the hand of the officer. The male suspect was taken into custody.

MONDAY, SEPT. 5

Ÿ An officer responded to a private residence in regards to a disturbance call. A woman at the scene stated that she and her son had been involved in a verbal argument, and that the son had destroyed her TV by punching it. Her son had come over to her residence with his children because they had no place to stay the night; the reporting party stated that her son began calling his four children horrible names, and when she told him to be nicer to his children, the suspect became very angry and began yelling at her. She stated that she believed her son was on methamphetamine and that is the reason for his behavior. She said that after her son broke her TV, he told her that he would be back to beat her up and burn her house down, and that she was afraid of what the suspect might do to her and the kids. The suspect was located at a nearby gas station by another officer. He stated that he had gotten into an argument with his mother about her being a hoarder, and she made him so mad that he punched her TV. The suspect was placed into custody and charged with destroying private property.

Ÿ An officer responded to a private residence for a report of theft. A male who had been letting another male stay with him for a couple of weeks had told him to get his things together and get out after a disagreement. When the reporting party returned from work, he noticed one of the new nickel ceiling fans he was going to install was missing. He believed that the suspect had taken the item to Walmart to return it to get money. The reporting party had already been to Walmart and observed what he believed to be the fan from his house at the service desk. He spoke with a manager and made arrangements to have security camera footage reviewed to see who had returned the ceiling fan. While speaking with police, the reporting party checked the box on the other ceiling fan he had to obtain a serial number, and noticed at that time that his other ceiling fan was also missing. The officer will follow up by observing security footage at the Walmart.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 6

Ÿ An officer responded to a private residence in response to the report of a male breaking down the door. The victim told the officer that his ex-roommate, who had been told that he needed to move out, had done this. The tenant had noticed that a trash bag of belongings owned by the evicted male had been left outside of the house, and so he had brought them inside the garage, and this was the reason for the incident. The tenant was watching TV when he heard a very loud bang at the door, and before he could get to the door, several more bangs followed, and the door flew open after the doorjamb broke. The evicted male stood at the door and yelled at the tenant to give him his stuff. The tenant told him it was in the garage, and that he would go get the bag, but that the evicted male was not welcome to come inside the house. The tenant phoned dispatch and requested assistance while getting the bag out of the garage, which was overheard by the evicted male, who left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. The tenant later let the officer know that the evicted male had called the tenant and made threats to him about the tenant calling the police. The tenant believes that the evicted male had also stolen items from the home. The evicted male’s belongings in the trash bag were left on the curb for him to pick up.
