Montezuma-Cortez High School junior softball player Randy Elliot is this week’s M-CHS spotlight athlete of the week.

Name — Miranda Elliot. Grade — Junior. Favorite food — Steak. Position — Catcher.

Sport — Softball. Favorite color — Lime green. Favorite thing to do — Play softball. Favorite quote — “An army of deer led by a lion can defeat a army of lions led by a deer.” Plans after high school — College at Mesa (State) or OSU, and play softball.

Something about me no-one knows — When I was in fourth-grade, I went to Farmington (N.M.) every weekend for acting and modeling classes. Parents names — Heath and Melissa. “When I was little, I told my mom to smell my finger…and you can guess the rest.” Best high school memory so far — Won freshman attendant for homecoming. Favorite teacher and why — Ms. Chandler: Our class was terrible, but she loved us anyway. Stats/Accomplishments: Picked off nine runners last weekend, helping her team go 3-1.
