long, lanky, and leggy, Smoky is a young female about seven months old; shes gray and white, with spectacular yellow and green eyes. She looks like the stretch limo of cats very agile, she likes to sit up, stand on her back legs, and will sit on your shoulder like a parrot, if you let her. This gregarious girl is very friendly, great with kids, and gets along well with other cats and with dogs. Smoky is affectionate, and hard to resist. This girl is ready to move on. Her excitement when people come in to check out the cats is just one of her appealing qualities shes very anxious to put that cage in her rearview mirror. Come to the shelter to meet this sweetie shes just waiting for the chance to find her new best friend. A huge thanks to those that came in or inquired about Mama ... she found a new home. Heres hoping that her longtime pal, Smoky, will also be lucky. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays. The shelter will be open this Friday. Right now, the shelter needs non-clumping cat litter, Purina puppy chow, Purina or Pedigree adult dog food, and chew toys, rawhide chews or pig ears to keep the many dogs and puppies there occupied. They also need cleaning supplies such as bleach and paper towels. As always, the shelter appreciates any donations that the community can bring in; every little bit helps.
