Keep ‘Good Old Broads’ in Colorado

I am glad that the “Good Old Broads” are expanding their network and that they are staying in Colorado. There was an incident a few years ago that involved the Great Old Broads for Wilderness in our county, San Juan, in Utah.

I am not sure what they were doing here except for causing destruction of land and putting their unwanted noses in places they had no knowledge of. They closed existing roads around the Fourth of July – after people had moved their motor homes or travel trailers into an area, then moved boulders in the road so that they could not get their motor homes or trailers out after the holiday.

They tore up trails that they swore that the local people were tearing up. Their equipment demolished existing trails that were pristine before they arrived. This was just a minor portion of trouble they caused.

I wholeheartedly support Montezuma County in its decision to have the Great Old Broads for Wilderness there. But, I caution the “Good Old Broads” to stay in Colorado and leave Utah alone.

Keep your noses in your own state!
