What a cheeky monkey this little sweetie is. A young adult female calico, she’s small in stature and has rounded ears like a little bear. Her markings are really spectacular, with striped orange legs on the right side, and big yellow eyes. She’s extremely friendly and affectionate, and gets along great with other cats, too. She’s also smart — she sat up on her back legs like a bunny for one of her photos. Her sister, a long-haired bright-orange beauty with a black face, is also at the shelter. Please consider opening your home to this exceptional kitty, or one of many other deserving dogs, puppies, and cats — including a solid, gray shorthaired male with a calm demeanor — and give one of them a chance for a happy life. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays; they will be closed this Friday, but will be open Saturday for an Adopt-a-thon from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Right now, the shelter needs Iams puppy or kitten chow, Purina or Pedigree adult dog food, Iams or Purina cat food, non-clumping cat litter, and all sorts of dog chews or rawhides to keep the dogs and puppies there occupied. The shelter always needs dish soap and dishwasher detergent (powder). It may be time to welcome home the new — and furry — love of your life. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910.
