For Pets’ Sake Humane Society’s membership drive is underway for the 2017-18 membership year, which begins July 1.

For Pets’ Sake volunteers work to improve the lives of companion animals in Southwest Colorado, in part by providing financial assistance for spaying and neutering. They help locals pay for veterinary care and provide pet food when times are tough. They also facilitate pet adoptions and help lost pets find their way home.

In the past year, For Pets’ Sake has received more requests for assistance than ever before, according to the news release from Sally Jo Leitner, of For Pets’ Sake.

All contributions are tax-deductible, and operations are funded by membership dues, fundraising activities, donations and grants. Membership packets are available at the Cortez Public Library, info@forpetssakehs.org, or 970-565-PETS/7387.
