Kirk Archibeque had an amazing evening in the last round for Zastal ZG (15-9) in the Tauron (Polish) Basketball League. Archibeque has been selected to receive the Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 26 (Feb. 6-12). It is the second such honor of Archibeques career.
The 27-year-old center had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed Kotwica (12-12) 85-55 on Feb. 12. It was one of the most impressive evenings for Archibeque. The Fort Lewis College and Montezuma-Cortez graduate has very impressive statistics this year. Archibeque is in TBLs top percentile in stats (fourth, 9.4 points per game), (third, 7.5 rebounds pg) and averages a solid 60 percent shooting from the field.
Zastal ZG will play in the first round of the TBL, Polish Cup on Sunday, Feb. 25, against PGE Turow-Zastal ZG.
